About
- Prototyping & process: One star was designed as a two-dimensional drawing to be cut out from a single layer; Chipboard was laser cut to test the placement of relief cuts, then resized into three separate stars.
- Final fabrication: Steel sheet metal was cut on a water jet, bent for dimension, sanded and coated into two different finished. Stars were connected to each other by clear string, for a clean silhouette that does not change the overall aesthetic and blends nicely with a Christmas tree’s dark coloring.
