About
This planter and stand were designed with the intent of creating a unique interface between two geometric shapes.
- Prototyping & process: Hand sketching, simplified small scale wooden and chipboard models, 3D modeling in Fusion 360.
- Final fabrication: Box tube was cut and welded to create three identical angled legs and triangle base, then all welded into one form at a slight angle; Stand was grinded down and coated in a black finish. The hexagonal planter was made of six rectangle faces and one bottom piece with tabs that were bent and connected to one other with rivets as a design choice.
